Not That There's Anything Wrong With That

It's time for the latest in my 180-part series inspired by my long-held belief that "Everything in life can be explained by an episode of Seinfeld".  Why is it 180 parts?  Because that's how many episodes of Seinfeld there were.

The White House has been continuously arguing against rumors that Obama is a Muslim.  However, they are also making the case that everyone should be treated equally -- even if they are Muslim.  Which episode does this remind you of?  If you guessed Episode 57, "The Outing", then you win the prize.

Every time I hear White House press secretary Robert Gibbs denounce rumors about Obama's religion, I expect to hear him add the disclaimer "not that there's anything wrong with that".  "No, of course not," George chimes in.  "A person's religious preferences are nobody's business but there own," Jerry adds.

Hopefully the political references to Seinfeld episodes begin and end here.  I'd hate to see the day when the economy gets so bad that we're asking the person in the next stall if they "can spare a square".  Or, as Obama proceeds with Mideast Peace Talks, he might suggest that Netanyahu and Abbas read the book War and Peace, which was of course originally titled War, What Is It Good For?
